Why MC Community Services
MC Community Services is a licensed Mental Health Agency contracted with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services and enrolled as a MaineCare provider. The agency has been providing behavioral health services to children, adults, and families in the greater Lincoln area since 2009, delivering rehabilitative community support services under Section 28 and outpatient behavioral health services under Section 65 across Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Washington Counties.
MC Community Services is a small, locally owned agency where staff know each other, look out for each other, and work side by side. Everyone lives in the same communities as the families they serve, and that shared investment creates a level of collaboration and mutual support that larger organizations cannot replicate. The organization's Behavioral Health Professionals deliver community-based services to many of the same families clinicians treat, giving therapists a fuller picture of each member's life than most outpatient clinicians receive.
MC Community Services is not a large healthcare system with layers of bureaucracy where clinicians are reduced to their billable hours or pressured to carry unrealistic caseloads. Here, clinicians are trusted to do their work well. They have the flexibility to structure their schedules around their clients' actual needs, direct access to leadership when they need it, and a genuine say in how services are delivered. The Clinical Director holds an LCSW, LADC, and CCS, providing experienced clinical support and supervision.
